Sayang

This song has been haunting me for quite some time. It’s has a catchy tune but I love the guitar part sooo much! I search the song in internet and found this...

..........(it started with this....)

sayang apa khabar dengan mu
disini ku merindukan kamu
ku harap cinta mu takkan berubah
kerna disini ku tetap untukmu

sayang apa khabar dengan mu
cobalah kamu telepon diriku
ku rindu dengar suara indahmu
kerana dirimulah semangat hidupku

sayang dengarlah permintaan ku
jangan ragu kan cintaku
sayang percayalah apa kataku
kerna ku sayang kamu

sayang dengarlah permintaanku
jaga hatimu untukku
sayang dengarlah bisikan hatiku
kerana ku sayang kamu

The title for this song is Sayang and the singer is Shae...Shae who? Never heard of her before. Searching deeper and I found her real name is Sheryl Gething, 18 years old and her first album entitled “Kok telfon telfon sih”.

She’s a mix of Australian-Riau which explains why I thought I must have searched the wrong person (I thought she will look like a typical Indonesian singer.lol..)

Anyway, let’s listen to the song shall we?

Seidup Sekunsi

Whoa! Couldn’t find a suitable word to describe my life this week..It’s so intense, hectic, muscle strain, dehydrated, etc. but again, it’s worth it. The pain that I endured for the past two weeks has come to an end, with two gold medals..:) (*grinning from ear to ear…).
Anyway, I couldn’t update my blog as regularly as I want cause I’m still busy with my work lately. Nevertheless, my artistic side has showed up and I manage to compose my own song (albeit my average voice). This is an Iban song, strictly for bedroom complete with my amateur video. I hope you enjoy it and please leave a comment. Thank you readers!

p/s: puke at your own risk...hahahaha..LOL!

The band was established in year 2000 by Ucak(lead guitar), Well(bassist), Onie(keyboardist/vocalist) and Charlz(drummer). After sometime, the band extended and two more committed members joined in. They are Alvin(2nd guitarist and Erylang(main vocalist). Ery is the vocalist for the band now.
Taju Remaong is not a well-known band in the region-only in Song and Kapit. The band has a variety of music such as Alternative Rock, Britpop, Rock Ballad, Heavy Rock, Metal Rock and last but not least their own famous Iban beat.

Selamat Hari Malaysia!

In conjunction with our Hari Malaysia (16th September), me and my friends had perform an Iban Patriotic song entitled “Timang Pemansang”. The atmosphere was great so I decided to post this in my blog…hahhaha.

Timang Pemansang
Gerempung kitai mansang sereta
indu lelaki mayuh bebala
rajin gawa pandai sekula
sama begempung ngemansangke bansa

Iring nembiak ransing mereti
belajar bebendar di university
ngaga penemu reti teknologi
gaga bulih diploma tinggi degree

Untung benasib rakyat Malaysia
Lantang senang udah merdeka
Untung benasib rakyat Malaysia
Menua likun perintah nyaga

Selalu bejaga semua kitai
ari penusah dadah ti ngasuh parai
Adat basa selalu dipegai
anang nempina ke urang ti tuai

Menua pesisir berasai nyamai

Sama rajin ekonomi ngerembai
wawasan 2020 pedoman kitai

Berkat nasib Malaysia merdeka
anak Sarawak untung semua
Berkat nasib Malaysia merdeka
selamat Sarawak mansang belama..

The coolest stuff ever!

What stuff? What is this? (wait and see…)

Hello there…it’s been awhile now. This time around, I had one of the most memorable Gawai celebrations with my family. Why, cause all my family members were here during Gawai this year. It’s probably two years ago since our last gathering and last week, we met again, older, wiser, and getting bigger…hahaha. So what is Gawai Dayak? Well, according to Wikipedia( yeah, I don’t know how to explain it and need help):

Gawai Day or Gawai Dayak is a festival celebrated in Sarawak on 1 June every year. It is both a religious and social occasion. The word Gawai means a ritual or festival whereas Dayak is a collective name for the native ethnic groups of Sarawak (and neighboring Indonesian Kalimantan): the Iban, also known as Sea Dayak and the Bidayuh people, also known as Land Dayak. Thus, Gawai Dayak literally means "Dayak Festival". Dayak would visit their friends and relatives on this day. Such visit is more commonly known as "ngabang" in the Iban language. Those too far away to visit would receive greeting cards.

There you go…so first of all, we had planned a family photo just to imprint the precious moment of all time in a frame and hang it on the wall.

It wasn’t allowed in the studio, but I don’t care…

We went as a big band and it took 4 cars to fit us all (such a huge family, gheehehe). This was our first family photo and the scary part was the tiny studio couldn’t fit whole of us in camera. Finally the photographer manages to arrange our position (after 10 minutes of waiting) and everybody gave their best pose...*click!

Head count anyone?

So how was our Gawai this year? Lots of booze and karaoke session went on and 3 days on non-stop crazy celebration did take its toll. I almost lost my voice for a good few days and not to mention, doing wonder girls ‘Nobody’ dance at 4 a.m., waking up next day and remember nothing ‘bout it…(no! I would not expose my embarrassing photo here!)

I think it was a masterpiece song..hahaha

I must say we didn’t visit much but we stayed in the house, having fun with each other. Other relatives also stayed and celebrated Gawai with us to some extent there were 30 of us sharing one bathroom and a toilet! As for our outdoor activity, we went to Kubu Brooke in Julau swimming(although the river was knee-deep only) and strolling along the river bank.

Peace!!!

As my brother and sister going back to their respective workplace, I continue my journey to Kuching for a few days.

Taken using Samsung wave…

Beautiful sunset….

While staying there, I spent RM400+ on clothing and that was a huge amount of money! Nevertheless, I deserve a new shirt and short since Sibu didn’t sell up-to-date clothing (seriously…). Alright, back to the coolest stuff. It is a clip-on tuning device for guitar (my brother got it for me). The clip-on tuner provides an accurate reading with a bright back light, best suited when tuning is required in dark and noisy environment such as during a gig (whooaaa!). After tuning my guitar, I admit my guitar sounds pretty damn nice!!

Tuning in progress…

For more info, visit here.
Thanks for reading guys! Till then, enjoy this song(I’m so crazy about this song after gawai *karaoke mode)

Got my Capo(with guitar cover)

Finally, I’m in a holiday mood! It’s been a long week for me and the constantly aching ulcer in my mouth doesn’t help much. Yes, losing a colleague did affect my life but enough being sober, I’ll pray his soul is there with the Creator.

I manage to shoot simple videos the other day and I hope you’ll enjoy it. I actually turn the song upside down with my cheap guitar and off-pitch vocal..haha. First up, my first Indonesian’s song, Aishiteru

By the way, I got my guitar capo today. Specially ordered from KL(I asked my bro to buy it) with just RM 40. Hey, it’s cheap but it works really well! It suits my guitar and now I’m gona show off my guitar capo to my friends (*grin)…

Next, my amateur-nonsense-rendition of Billionaire from Travie McCoy ft Bruno Mars. Ignore everything except the rap part. I practically doing this to evaluate my rapping skills(ghahaha, although I have none embedded in my genes). Yeah, save your laugh and enjoy my trash video readers. TQ.

Yeah, this is officially my second cover in YouTube. Just listening to it and you will definitely notice lots of error in this video. It wasn’t perfect but I hope you do enjoy this..(fingers crossed)

Lost my guitar pick but I manage to made one

Hey, watch this kid playing guitar. He is Sungha Jung, and he has God’s finger! Trust me!

Price Tag cover

I shouldn’t post this but I guess it’s a good way to express yourself(in a good way of course) and encourage people to be more expressive and confident in everything they do. As for me, I always find that playing guitar would be the best way to channel my feeling (in my bedroom) but the urge to post a video of myself playing guitar keep coming up and without realizing it, here I am posting my video to you all..Hahahahaha.
Hey, I hope you won’t puke watching this. This is me playing Price Tag by Jessie J. I tried to rap it but I think it is way too funny. It’s my first attempt but I’ll try to improve it next time.

My original guitar capos!

Karmin

Wait, check out this video…this is from Karmin. They are awesome! I really love them. Just watch all their videos and I bet you’ll want more!(unless you are not into music…)

CRAZY Rehearsal

I’m so CRAZY over Gnarls Barkley song lately (its title is CRAZY). Ever heard of it?? If you never, Google it of go You Tube. This song is awesome especially when you play it acoustically…I’m rehearsing with my (*cheap) guitar non-stop just to get it right. I’m sure you gona love this song when you hear it. Let’s rehearse together readers!

(intro: just hit the 3rd fret on the A string)

Cm                                                     Eb
I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
                                           Ab
There was something so pleasant about that phase.

Even your emotions had an echo
           Gm   G
In so much space
Cm
And when you're out there, without care,
                   Eb
Yeah, I was out of touch
                                    Ab
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
                Gm  G
I just knew too much

                  Cm
Does that make me cra-zy
                  Eb
Does that make me cra-zy
                  Ab
Does that make me cra-zy
     Gm G
Probably

(this verse pattern for the second verse is the same as the third verse, but different
the first)

Cm                                              Ab
And I hope that you are having the time of your life
          Eb                    Gm    G
But think twice, that's my only advice
Cm                                                                    Eb
Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think you are,
                    Ab
Ha ha ha bless your soul
                           Gm     G
You really think you're in control

(i'm pretty sure the choruses are the same throughout and the verses follow that last pattern)

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them
Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come
And I can die when I'm done

Maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably

(for outro repeat second chorus pattern and end on Cm.

CRAZY practice!
