Damn it!

How do you feel when something that you love/treasure the most is broken? Suck right? Yeah, it happens every now and then throughout our life. I just found out that my lovely CAR is scratched and dented! Arrrgghh!! How did it happen? I’m not sure when but I think it happened last week. How frustrating I was when I was washing my car and suddenly wallaa…sigh..

felt like a punch to my stomach...

I know it’s just a car but I just BOUGHT it! Hmmm…things happen for a reason. I don’t want to blame anyone but next time around, NOBODY is allowed to drive my car. Thank you!!

p/s: Germany is going to win tomorrow morning. Sorry Algeria… Germany for World Cup!

FYI, my car is scratched and dented while my knee is crooked too...huh

No offense but me and Chef Wan speak the same language. We are in the same wavelength. It's just that I didn't have much time  to share my opinion but thankfully Chef Wan made it simple and straightforward...

Batman vs Superman

This is the most unfortunate news I've read today. Justin Bieber auditioning for a role of Robin in Batman vs Superman. I'm not sure how true this story is but jugging from his instagram photo, it might be true after all...

Judging from his dumb act in CSI drama few years ago I don't think a movie of this stature should have UNDERAGE kid as Robin. Justin Bieber is suitable for a movie like Musical High School, Camp Rock, Karate Kid, Peter Pan or even Home Alone(if there is a remake...hehe).

Captain America: Hey Iron man, I heard that they have Justin Bieber as Robin for Batman vs Superman...
Iron Man: *chuckle...I didn't expect that. This isn't right but I have to say this, let me repulsor beam his candy a** then..

Personally, I think it won't give this film a justice by having a kiddo playing Robin alongside Batman.

Feeling the heat

It’s really pathetic when THIRD WORLD countries are pointing their finger to each other over haze issue while their LEADERS are living lavishly with dozens of air conditioner inside their PALACE. The peoples are feeling the heat and some risk losing their main income with long drought as the land gets drier. I am ashamed to admit that I’m living in this THIRD WORLD country while my LEADER does nothing to stop it or at least reduce the activities that contribute to this misery…*I wish I’m rich like Tony Fernandez

By the way, have you watched Man of Steel!?

ahaa!Everybody is wearing one and I had one too!

Real life situation

Situation 1: When people spend their 1 month salary...

PETALING JAYA: Thousands of diehard Samsung fans queued up all over the country to be the first to get their hands on the highly anticipated Galaxy S4.

The smartphone, which was first unveiled in New York’s Ra-dio City Music Hall on March 14, was launched by major telcos such as Celcom, DiGi and Maxis at various locations nationwide yesterday.

Mohd Imaduddin had queued up since midnight at the Celcom Blue Cube outlet in Sunway Pyramid. “I could not wait to get my hands on the S4,” said the freelance designer who was first in line.

The 28-year-old is most excited by the smartphone’s large five-inch screen as he plans to watch HD movies on it.

For Am Sazly Aminuddin, who had been waiting since the wee hours of the morning, it was a chance to upgrade to “one of the best Android phones in the market”.

JMT 7351

This unfortunate incident took place on March 4th this year and a Perodua Viva was caught colliding with Perodua Myvy. Surprisingly, the Viva's driver just speed off and pretending like nothing has happened. Fortunately, this incident was caught in dash camera...and most importantly, its plate number is JMT 7351.

The Myvy's driver was a female and good for her that she only suffered a minor injury.

Lahad Datu standoff

This is a tragic end to both parties. In my opinion, Malaysian government was too slow to react with the situation. To say that they are not terrorists, so then who are they? Illegal immigrant? Then catch them and deport them as illegal immigrant. Have you ever discuss anything with illegal immigrant? No! So what’s our government thinking? 2 soldiers dead and now Malaysia’s giving them same old option, surrender of face the consequences…

Bloodshed is inevitable but risking our soldier’s live is evitable! Which one do you prefer? It’s just either Us or Them. Just nuke ‘em already!! Don’t risk someone’s husband for the sake of general election! ! Such an incompetent leader! Adios!
*My condolence goes to the fallen soldiers’ family.

Samsung alert

I'm just sharing the news to my readers. Samsung confirms its phones vulnerable to hack. As a samsung user, it really bother me to the core. Samsung said they will fix the problem as quickly as possible so they have list a number of things for us to do:

1. Don't download any apps until Samsung releases a fix.
2. Or, only download apps from known good sources (e.g., Google Play).
3. Even at Google Play, only download apps that are from known and verified publishers.
4. Or, if you must, install an instant fix(which may have some negative effects on your phone's functioning)

For me, I'll stick with the first one.

Stop this nonsense

The first day the news broke out, I was ashamed. Why? Because Malaysian Catholics are SUPERSTITIOUS. Forgive me if it sound harsh but that’s the real fact. How can we believe Mother Mary comes to us like that? The apparition of Mother Mary!? For real!? I'm a Catholic but I don't believe in this stuff.

I honestly believe the devout Catholics who has been flocking SJMC are SUPERSTITIOUS. Please don’t mix religion with superstition. Also, please don’t make us a laughing stock elsewhere around the world (the news was reported in TheSun today). As I expected, the comment section really made me humiliated(you may read the comments there).

st***d Catholics worship this too....

why don't they worship this too...

I had enough of Jesus or Mary on bread, wall, iron, etc.

To my shock, the glass panel will be moved to the Marian Church of Our Lady Lourdes Klang which will be more conducive for prayer and reflection. What!??

Stop worshipping WINDOW PANE! Go back to BIBLE…God, Jesus Christ and Mother Mary shall appear only during APOCALYPSE.
Lastly, “God, please forgive me and especially those who have worship window pane, trees, bread, wall and stones. They have been mocking you like those who have mocking Jesus Christ till He was crucified….”

Sunday for Peace

Hai all, it’s Sunday morning and I’m sitting in the office with loads of work to be done. I can’t wait for the year to end and get a good rest...till then, I’m going to spend the last quarter of the year by keeping myself busy. By the way, one stupid story that I read yesterday was about Jaclyn Victor. As a Christian, she was just carrying her duty when she sing Harapan Bangsa and for that, she was in a lot of heat. Why? Let me show you some of the comment;

Jaclyn Victor

Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi..someone please verify his Dr and Datukship please...

I mean, what the heck was that!?? That mean all of the praise and worship songs in Bahasa Malaysia(which is common in Sarawak and Sabah) should be check since it touch the sensitivity of other religion in this country? So when they try to investigate this matter should people who raise this issue be locked up under ISA (PERKASA and Mohd Puad)? I mean, those people try to trigger the racial tension that could lead to chaos all over this country. Harapan Bangsa is just a praise and worship song, intended for Sabah and Sarawak only. It’s not distributed commercially. It end up in you tube because some Christian try to share good news to other Christian via virtual medium, and I see nothing wrong with that. Why do people keep playing with this issue? Here is another article;

There were no images, however, of Jaclyn performing or recording the song in a studio. In an accompanying write-up, Barry said that she had created the video to “share this beautiful and meaningful song about Malaysia and Jesus”.

In a statement today, the right-wing Malay NGO said it condemned both Jaclyn and the songwriter for their “insensitivity and disrespect” to non-Christians in the country.

Perkasa secretary-general Syed Hassan Syed Ali referred to a particular line in the song that reads: “Bapa, engkau lah harapan negara ini” (Father you are the hope of the nation) and said that it was a clear insult to Islam as the country’s official religion.

“There is also another line that says “Kau lah satu-satunya harapan di bumi Malaysia” (You are the only hope on Malaysian soil) and this is insulting to all non-Christians since she refers to Malaysian soil,” he said.

“Do all Malaysians believe in and place their hope in Jesus? The songwriter should have been more aware of the fact that Malaysia is made up of more than just Christians and has a Muslim majority.” Syed pointed out that yet another line says “Yesus engkau lah harapan segala bangsa” (Jesus, you are the hope of all races) and questioned why the lyrics were written as such since Muslims have never worshipped Jesus.

He then expressed bemusement over Jaclyn’s insensitivity towards her Malay fan base especially when her success rode on their shoulders.

“Perkasa is not seeking an apology from her,” Syed clarified. “What is needed is a compulsory boycott by all Muslims of her albums and performances nationwide.”

“We also want the Information Ministry to ban her appearance on all electronic media. Let her feel the pain of her insensitivity. It will be a stern lesson for her.”

Syed Hassan Syed Ali....Internal Security Act (ISA)is best used against this person

Boycott to her performances nationwide? Does it serve a stern lesson for her? By inserting Malaysia in the lyrics it becomes insulting? Duh!!She merely prays for peace in Malaysia! That’s what it means. It didn’t touch other races or religions. I pity him and I hope he could go back to Stone Age and stay there because being an insensitive, uneducated, narrow minded, attention seekers, ego maniac, racist, and religion fanatic like him just don’t belong here, in Malaysia. (Maher Zain sings in English and Bahasa Malaysia, should we boycott him as well!?? If according to Mr Almighty Syed Hassan, Maher Zain is being ‘disrespect and insensitive’ to other non-muslim in this country too!)

Anyway, I don’t want to get angrier so I just end it here. Happy Sunday all and peace!

For CHRISTIAN ONLY: Enjoy this beautiful song...

Come to collect my new MyKad only to be told my card hasn’t arrived…yet! Duhh!? Slowpoke government service! ‘nuff said!! Spending millions of ringgit for vote buying but little on upgrading government’s service…
Let’s take a look at the National Registration Department official portal…

England vs Malaysia

Finally two "Good Samaritans" who mugged a Malaysian student during the London riots were jailed today.

Jailed ... Reece Donovan and John Kafunda

They robbed him of a PSP games console and ten games worth £500

Ashraf Rossli

Malaysian were shocked to see the footage of Ashraf in youtube, including Ashraf’s father. So what did his father say on that matter?

I know a loving father will get angry when his beloved son was hit and robbed in broad daylight, would utter such statement to England. I would get angry if I were in his shoe but saying all of them lazy?? I guess it’s too much. It’s an isolated incident, done by a group of inconsiderate peoples…There are more people who are supporting Ashraf in England. They even condemn the act as much as we do. These are some comments from them when they knew the robbers will be jailed…

However, one comment caught my attention…

Yes, I found it hilarious and I bet you do. Again, there’s always some who are very cynical when they see foreigners (migrant..) in England. Are they much different than us? Do we treat foreigners fairly here? Are our systems superior than those in England that all Malaysian aren’t lazy? Such incident never happens in Malaysia? Food for thought…It happens elsewhere around the world, including Malaysia alright…*ahem!

When human becomes inhuman

This story comes from Borneo, which ashamed me more…

A TERRIFIED orangutan protects her baby after hunters desperate to slaughter them were stopped with just minutes to spare.

Locals watched the helpless mother and daughter saved by British rescuers in Borneo.  A knife-wielding gang hoped to collect a bounty for killing the endangered apes.  But a team from charity Four Paws swooped to pluck the gentle creatures to safety. Four Paws expert Dr Signe Preuschoft said: "It is extremely fortunate we arrived when we did."

Palm oil plantation owners offer up to £70 for each orangutan killed as they see them as pests. There were 250,000 orangutans in the wild a few decades ago but only 50,000 are left. The rescued pair were released in a remote rainforest. The mother was fitted with a radio transmitter to monitor their movements.

Safe..orangutan mum wraps arms around baby daughter

No more “Kodak moment”

I was utterly shocked when I heard the news today…”Kodak files for bankruptcy,
secures $950 millions lifeline”... I remembered I used to buy Kodak’s film
back in my school days. It was such a memorable experience where I had to use
the film wisely, expecting some spoiled negatives and waited for days just to
build the film. Yeah, life was hard back then (lols…)…for those who haven’t read
the news, here it is…

(Reuters) - Eastman Kodak Co, which invented the hand-held camera and helped bring the world the first pictures from the moon, has filed for bankruptcy protection, capping a prolonged plunge for one of America's best-known companies.

The more than 130-year-old photographic film pioneer, which had tried to restructure to become a seller of consumer products like cameras, said it had also obtained a $950 million, 18-month credit facility from Citigroup to keep it going.

The loan and bankruptcy protection from U.S. trade creditors may give Kodak the time it needs to find buyers for some of its 1,100 digital patents, the key to its remaining value, and to reshape its business while continuing to pay its 17,000 workers.

"The board of directors and the entire senior management team unanimously believe that this is a necessary step and the right thing to do for the future of Kodak," Chairman and Chief Executive Antonio Perez said in a statement.

"Now we must complete the transformation by further addressing our cost structure and effectively monetizing non-core intellectual-property assets. We look forward to working with our stakeholders to emerge a lean, world-class, digital imaging and materials science company," he added.

At end September, the group had total assets of $5.1 billion and liabilities of $6.75 billion.

Kodak said it and its U.S. subsidiaries had filed for Chapter 11 business reorganization in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Non-U.S. subsidiaries were not covered by the filing and would continue to honor all obligations to their suppliers, it added.

Hmm…looks like Kodak will be with us for a while albeit the bad situations…Well, let’s take a look at Kodak’s history already…

American inventor George Eastman patented photographic film stored in a roll in 1884. Four years later he had perfected the first camera to take advantage of his invention. He founded Kodak in 1892. The meaningless name was chosen because it was impossible to mispronounce and was disimilar to any existing words.

The Kodak Brownie camera was introduced in 1900 and was initially priced at just one dollar in the US. The camera was simple to use and was advertised with the slogan: "You push the button, we do the rest".

A Kodak advertisement circa 1909

In 1935, Kodak introduced Kodachrome film. The film film was manufactured for 74 years, finally being discontinued in 2009.

On February 20, 1962, John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth. He was photographed in his Friendship 7 Mercury capsule with a point-and-shoot camera loaded with Kodak 35mm film.

The assassination of John F Kennedy was captured by Abraham Zapruder using a Bell & Howell camera loaded with 8mm Kodachrome II colour film.

The Earth rises on August 23, 1966, as seen from the moon by Lunar Orbiter 1 using a Kodak camera.

20 July 1969: Astronaut Buzz" Aldrin faces the camera as he walks on the Moon during Apollo 11 extra vehicular activity. The plexiglass of his helmet reflects back the scene in front of him, such as the Lunar Module and Astronaut Neil Armstrong, taking his picture. Armstrong, Apollo 11 commander, took this photograph with a 70mm lunar surface camera loaded with Kodak film.

Models demonstrate Kodak cameras at the 1971 Ideal Home Exhibition in London

All rise for the true ancestor…In 1975 Steven Sasson, a Kodak engineer, produced the first working prototype of a digital camera. It was the size of a toaster, weighed eight pounds, had a resolution of 0.01 megapixels, and took 23 seconds to save a black and white image onto a cassette tape...

...The crude 100-line digital images could be displayed on a TV by transferring them from the tape using a VCR-sized microcomputer. A patent was issued for the technology, but Kodak didn't take the digital market seriously until 1991, when it introduced the Kodak DCS-100, which had a 1.3 megapixel sensor and was priced at $13,000.

In 1982, Kodak intoduced the Disc film format. It did not catch on and Kodak stopped manufacturing the film in 1999.
