Thailand's Got Talent

This a continuation from my post in my facebook. Hey, I’m not a fag but trust me, watching this is unbelievable! This is the latest internet sensation from “Thailand’s Got Talent”, a knock-off version of America’s Got Talent, Bell Nuntita.

Bell Nuntita, aka  Nuntrita “Bell” Khampriranon, wowed judges and the audience with her feminine alto voice with her rendition of a sappy Thai pop tune. About 64 seconds into the silky smooth number, to the crowd’s amazement, she suddenly switched up her pipes and then stunned them again when she lowered her pitch to an ultra-masculine bass.

Bell was born male but has “evolved” into an extremely beautiful female. Hearing Bell croon like a guy got squeals from the audience. By the song’s end, the judges appeared stunned and the audience erupted with wild cheers and rapturous applause.

Bell’s voice was excellent as both genders in her solo duet. She, of course, got the thumbs up from all three judges, receiving a lingering hug from the male hosts.

Said one of the judges after her song: “Initially, I was certain that you were a transexual, but once you began singing, I was fooled to think that you were female. After you started the male verse, I should have trusted my gut feeling.”

Watch her video(with English sub) here:

“I’ve been ridiculed a lot, like, ‘you fag’ or stuff like that. But I’ve had to keep it inside the whole time,” she said in a later interview, telling of her transgender journey. “And my dad would not accept me, to the point where he hits me so I could change back from being a transsexual to being ‘normal’.”
“I just want to tell my dad that I love him so much and I can do this.”

Bell’s appearance is not unusual in Thailand where thousands of young men take female hormones and dress as females in a culture called Katoey, or Ladyboy. It seems that Bell has a boyfriend so guys, you are out of luck.

Taib not stepping down as Sarawak Chief Minister any time soon?

(Copy n paste from limkitsiang blog)

Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is not stepping down as Sarawak Chief Minister any time soon. This is obvious from his latest very elaborate political dance which he had choreographed over his intended resignation as Sarawak Chief Minister. Cutting through all the verbiage and verbosity indulged by Taib yesterday, the message is very clear: Taib will lead the Barisan Nasional into the state general election expected next month and he will continue as Sarawak Chief Minister after the polls! Reason? Taib has not yet been able to groom a successor!

Taib had chosen his words carefully when he said: “I will lead this election so that new blood can come up, but after that, when the people I have groomed can form a new team and can work for this country, for the people of various races, and that these people can work as part of a team, then I will call it a day”
It is still a long way to go before Taib is ready to hand over the reins of Sarawak state government to his successor – as he himself has outlined the many steps that must be taken before he could contemplate relinquishing the post of Sarawak Chief Minister, including:

(i) To form “a new team” to run the state government;
(ii) To ensure that the new team can “work as part of a team”.

This means Taib will have no qualms to continue as Sarawak Chief Minister for instance (i) if he is not satisfied that he has got a “new team” that could work for the country or (ii) not assured that the new team could “work as part of a team”.

This can take anything from one year to five years as he may have to keep trying “a new team”! The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has merely echoed Taib’s wishes when he said he respects Taib’s desire to quit politics but cautioned that Taib should not be pressured to quit.  Najib said Taib is ready to step down and when the time is right, Taib will pass the baton to his successor. There is no need to force him to quit.

As there is not only no successor at present but the new team has yet to be formed and tested, Taib’s stepping down as Sarawak Chief Minister is far into the distant horizon. Clearly, Taib has to choreograph and act out the elaborate political dance of his preparedness to step down as Chief Minister to counter and neutralise the Sarawak Barisan Nasional’s Achilles’ heel in the impending Sarawak state general election – that Taib had overstayed as Sarawak Chief Minister.

It will be known soon enough whether Sarawak voters are so gullible that such a political ploy and bluff can work so as to return Taib for another term as Sarawak Chief Minister.

Hmmm....just wait and see

The ugly truth

It feels like centuries since my last post…being away from civilization for two weeks really driving me nuts! Anyway, after I came back to civilization I went to a bowling centre together with my colleagues to unleash our inner-two-weeks-of-raging-beast… haha.

Alright, we (me, mol benzema, alex and his wife) headed to Sibu Superbowl in high spirit (but with empty stomach). We arrived at 8 pm and it was jammed packed with peoples! Crap. Why don’t they just play earlier or the day earlier or never play at all. They should have leaved the bowl centre to us, the beast from UB jungle. Sigh… They just don’t have sympathy at all. We waited almost 1 hour and our patience was running out… blood boils and curse words coming out from our half conscious mouth (although it seems like it all coming out from me alone..hehe). Finally we had two lanes for ourselves…

So here’s the deal, me going against mol benzema and alex vs his wife. I’m sooooo confident of tearing mol benzema into pieces! Yeah dude, you have picked the wrong day for our epic battle… Let’s see how it goes…

Mol benzema with his deadly left hand…

Me with my super-precise right hand in action…

We played three sets. On the first set I triumph mol benzema! Yeay!!(albeit the small margin of score). On the second sets, a lot of drama involved. Mol benzema managed to hit his first strike…meanwhile, I managed to clean the side alley with my bowl, without hitting any pin!!! Arrgh, finally he leaves me trailing with 8 points behind on our second set. Alex was having fun with his wife on the next lane… Their score were higher than me and mol benzema. Oh no, his wife can also play better than me. On the third set, I changed my style and end up with a miserable score! Mol benzema was getting better with each round and I cheer him with my envy face.

I know, 3 sets and 271!?? What am I? That’s a school kid’s score!!!

Even alex and his wife beating me hard…ugh

This might be my 5th time I’m playing bowling. I seldom play this game and that score is not bad for an amateur like me... (trying to nurse myself here). Ok, I admit, I’m a bad bowler…and that’s the Ugly Truth… I shall come back stronger next time…

'nuff said - LOL!!
