Jaw line

Hey, this is my (classified) tips of getting a good jaw line (I thought I should share this with you all...). For those who have a weak jaw line (due to ageing factor...), this would be a good way (no money/surgery involves) to help you...  I’m extremely self conscious about my profile for many years. Sometimes I’m so embarrassed when I see a photo of me taken of the side of my face (these past few years, yes, age is catching up!) and I don’t really like it. The strength or weakness of a jaw line can define the attractiveness of a face. There are no leading men or women with weak jaw lines.

Alright, what did I do to improve this situation? Behold, photo below shows my jaw line before and after.

Before: this is how it looks when I’m not doing anything...
After: imagine that you are swallowing your saliva and just before you swallow, hold it and then take photo of yourself!

Now try it in front of your mirror and see for yourself!

p/s: This is strictly applicable ONLY when you are taking PHOTO FROM SIDE VIEW

What else you can do apart from using my tips here? Well, my research into this shows me solutions for more mature skin’s sagging (or rather the skin losing elasticity over time) and chin implant are the most popular. The great news is the chin is one of the most treatable parts of the face. It is a very straight-forward and minimally invasive procedure to place a chin implant...and with a very quick recovery, the proportions of your face can be greatly improved, and no more loose skin or embarrassing photos.

Kelvin–Helmholtz instability

What are those???

Hey, I read this in internet and I see a wonderful clouds emerges from nowhere…I was like, what!? Amaaazinnng! Hahaha…it’s a bunch of clouds, looking like some sort of dinosaur or aliens…Don’t worry guys, this strange phenomenon is known as Kelvin–Helmholtz instability.

What is Kelvin Helmholtz instability? Kelvin Helmholtz instability clouds sometimes called "billow clouds," are produced by instability, when horizontal layers of air brush by one another at different velocities. It can be assumed that due to the friction force between two air masses, which move with different speed, one (or several) irregularity in the form of penetration of a layer in the other one develops. The penetration can be observed in the form of wave or hill.

This is exactly how it happens…

Because of the continuous of the air flow, an air element, which is close to some air barrier, moves around it faster than another one, which is more far from the border of air masses.
According to Bernoulli's Principle the pressure beside an air layer with the higher wind velocity is smaller than in the environment. Consequently there is a force, which pulls the barrier shape (wave comb or hill summit) in the direction of the faster air flow.
Close to a wave trough (or a “valley”), air flows more slowly than in the environment, and therefore the ambient pressure is locally higher. This area will be pressed in the opposite direction.

The Kelvin-Helmholnstability is rarely observed in large air masses. At most they can be observed over the Southern Hemisphere, where the extra-tropical cyclones have obviously more place and larger speed in comparing to environment.

Now let’s see some of the pictures of this beautiful clouds…

The most beautiful Kelvin-helmholtz cloud, the rarely seen spiral kelvin-helmholtz…

A visit to Kampung Paon Gahat

Finally I manage to find some time writing this post (it’s 1.37 a.m now…@.@). Yeah, it begins as a spontaneous plan between me and my friend, Molin as we met at Serian on my way to Kuching. He said his village was having a Fund Raising to build a new church (St. James) on Saturday (17/12/11). It’s a whole day event so there will be a lot of activities going on. Since it was a fund raising event to build a new church (plus, it’s Christmas time where GIVING is the best GIFT!), I thought it would be a good way for me to contribute in a small way or another…so I give it a nod.

We arrived at noon, greeted by a RELA member…It was a warmth welcome and I was ecstatic with what I’m going to see. To my surprise, the new church was partially finished…the piling, roofing and a small portion of wall. I believe the new church could accommodate 200 peoples at one time. Sure enough, there were stalls inside the newly built church.

The new St. James’ church…

Peoples were busy selling their stuffs…

Craftsmen’s product…

In Bidayuh, they called this Pangkang…

And this is lamang…honestly, do you know the difference between pangkang and lamang??I do..hahaha

So sorry, I forgot the name…but it is used to ease stomach pain…

This is wild orchid, Dragon Orchid…it grows abundantly in the surrounding jungle…RM 250.00 price tag!!weeee….

Anak Gaharu, RM 18.00…every part of this tree are useable and sellable…you plant 10 of these, you’ll get rich in 5 years time! Seriously…

The old church, quite small…

Enough with the church, we check out the longhouse situated next to the new church. Well, it wasn’t a real longhouse anymore as people have moved out long time ago (originally, the longhouse were longer than the present one, more than 100 doors!…). Nowadays, it is used as a hall for special function…like this event…

The longhouse, exterior view…

last picture was actually plain water, packed in a recycled bottle and ready to be sold later at night…

UP: Not a single nail was used when they built the longhouse, all wedges and clamp…
DOWN: It has gone through a major renovation so all the floor and the sit were made of bamboo stick…

The big bikers’ arrival…

Since we’ve got nothing to do, we strolled around the village for sightseeing…

Perpustakaan Desa…

This is bari…a place where the bidayuh stored their rice grain…it’s about 2m height… (Almost all the house has one of this, no kidding)…

And this is where they dry their grains…

The villagers were all together, collecting woods, cooking, cutting palm leaves…such a close community…

Eventually, we had to went back because I’ve got another appointment in Kuching…If I was free, definitely I’ll be there till night time…ughh…*sad...

He said not to post his picture in facebook *shy shy cat…I said “nope, I’ll post your picture in my blog”…hahaha…nah!a full picture of you here brother!

Yeah, I was there until 2.00 p.m. It’s was a short trip…nevertheless, I felt like I’ve done my part, supporting church’s activities (hey, I donated my money bought pangkang and lamang also…). I’ll be sure to come and visit the church when its finish next time…

Oh ya, I couldn’t attend the night event as I was rushing for my niece’s birthday…

Yes, that’s her…

Well, happy birthday Angelina…please use my gift RM 50 wisely ok…*grinding my teeth...>.<
